Liz Anderson

Liz Anderson (who happens to be the mother of Lynn Anderson!) was one of the most prolific country music songwriters in the 1960's and 1970's. She wrote one of Merle Haggard's early hits, "(All My Friends Are Gonna Be) Strangers", "Big Girls Don't Cry" and several songs with a light novelty touch like "Husband Hunting" and "Ride, Ride, Ride". Although she recorded several albums for RCA, she never had any major success as a singer. Her recordings, though, can be considered real country.
