Jim Ed Brown

Jim Ed Brown was a member of the Browns, the famous family unit that scored several hits in the 1950's with their soft sound and smooth harmony singing. He started a solo career in 1965, two years before the Browns finally disbanded in 1967. From then on, he had several hits in the charts, among them "You Can Have Her", "Pop A Top", "Bottle, Bottle" and "Morning". In the late 1970's he teamed up with Helen Cornelius, again climbing up the charts, this time even reaching #1 in 1976 with "I Don't Want To Have To Marry You" (with Lloyd Green on steel!).
