Bobby Helms

Bobby Helms had his biggest time in the late 1950's, scoring #1 hits with the ever popular "Fraulein" (1957) and "Jingle Bell Rock" (1958) which still gets a lot of airplay every year on or around December 25.

Bobby Helms' connection to Lloyd Green is limited to one album recorded in 1968 for the Little Darlin' label called "All New Just For You". It is a pure Country album, with lots of room for Fiddle and Steel. The material on the album mostly includes songs from the Little Darlin' catalog (from Johnny Paycheck's "Just Between You And Me" to Country Johnny Mathis' "All I Need Is You"). One song, "He Thought He'd Die Laughing" (with great steel by Lloyd!) even enjoyed moderate chart success.
