Lawanda Lindsay
Here is another singer that got her start on the Chart label. Lawanda Lindsay got a contract with Chart in 1967. Her records sold well, but she didn't hit the charts until 1970 when she had her first hit with "Partly Bill". She also recorded several duets with Chart label mate Kenny Vernon that were also successful.
Later on she signed for Capitol Records, but didn't enjoy more success with the exception of one top thirty hits, "Hello Out There" in 1974. She also appeared on the famous Hee Haw TV show for some time.
