Hank Locklin

Pure and heartfelt singing in strict country style - that is the best way to decribe Hank Locklin. He had been a solid country artist since his start in the late 1940's, scoring several major hits like "Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On" and "Geisha Girl". He also was one of the first artists to record concept albums dedicated to other singers (like Roy Acuff and Eddy Arnold) or styles like his "Irish Songs - Country Style" album. Lloyd recorded on and off with Hank Locklin in the late 1960's and 1970's, once again showing his great taste and feeling for the vocalist he was backing up.
