Country Johnny Mathis

Country Johnny Mathis started out as part of the duo "Jimmy & Johnny" (with Jimmy Lee Fautheree being his partner). They had a major hit in 1954 with "If You Don't, Somebody Else Will" which was later covered by artists like Ray Price and George Jones. After Johnny went solo, he recorded for several labels, among them Aubrey Mayhew's Little Darlin' Records. Similar to the early Johnny Paycheck sides, Country Johnny Mathis recorded for the label, using Lloyd's Green's incredible talent. These recordings all have that special "Little Darlin' touch"!
