Charlie McCoy

Along with Lloyd Green and  Hargus "Pig" Robbins, Charlie McCoy has been  one of the giants of the Nashville studio scene since he started in the early 1960's. He is of course best known as the #1 harmonica player, but is also an expert on guitar, bass, percussion and all wind instruments. Besides his key role as a session player, he also had a very successful solo career, recording none less than 28 solo albums! The majority of these albums include terrific instrumental versions of classic country hits as well as contemporary arrangements of old standards and fiddle hoedowns, played with incredible virtuosity, not only by Charlie but also by the accompanying players like Lloyd Green, Weldon Myrick, Russ Hicks and a host of others.
