Weldon Rogers

Weldon Rogers is a perfect example of a country singer who never gave up his style of singing traditional country music. He probably would have enjoyed more commercial success if he had adjusted to modern trends. His career is best described as a continuing struggle for new recording contracts, without ever having the breakthrough record that have lifted him on to the top level. The music, though, remains pure country with occasional rockabilly overtones.

An interesting detail: Lloyd Green recorded on of his early Nashville sessions with Weldon Rogers and his wife Wanda, the the duets "Living With A Heartache" and "Our Rendezvous" were recorded on October 10, 1964.
