Freddy Weller

Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Freddy Weller already had a successful behind-the scenes- career in po and rock before finding solo success in country music. He worked as studio guitarist and played lead guitar with Paul Revere & The Raiders for four years. His first solo record was "Games People Play" in 1972 (#2 chart hit), subsequently he left the Raiders to pursue his solo career which brought him several more hits until 1975. As songwriter, he gets credit for songs like "Dizzy" (Tommy Roe), "Lonely Women Make Good Lovers" (Bob Luman) and "What I Do Best" (George Jones).
