The Whites

One of the finest family harmony groups in country music, the Whites have a long recording history in country and bluegrass music. Father Buck and his two daughters Sharon and Cheryl were one of the mainstays of traditional country sounds from the early 70's up to date. Their first albums were bluegrass, but in the 1980's, with the help of Sharon's husband Ricky Skaggs they recorded several successful albums with a mixture of acoustic and electrified country sounds, purely traditional in any case. The great Jerry Douglas on dobro is featured a lot, but Lloyd Green plays some beautiful music on songs like "I Don't Have The Heart" or "Hometown Gossip".
